Brian Stout, owner of Brian’s Tire and Auto, has been in the tire and aftermarket automotive industry for 35 years and choose MAM Software's VAST Enterprise Retail as their point of sale solution. The business software packages Stout used at previous jobs felt generic and cumbersome, and VAST stood apart as a solution that was specifically designed for the tire and aftermarket automotive business. VAST makes the sales process more efficient, improves customer turnaround times, provides detailed reporting and data analysis and ultimately increases revenues for Brian’s Tire and Auto.

“With VAST, everything I need is at my fingertips – tickets in process, sales for the day, and customer history,” stated Stout. “I can't think of one thing I would change. I'm one single outlet, but they have always treated me like I'm one of the big houses. They make us feel important and respected.”

Stout was recently searching for a solution that would streamline the parts ordering process for his sales staff. It was then that he was introduced to vItemBroker, a module for VAST that automates the parts searching and ordering process.

Before installing vItemBroker, the parts ordering process was time consuming and frustrating. Sales staff logged into parts dealer’s websites individually to check availability and prices, taking at least 20 minutes to write up an estimate. Now, with vItemBroker they are able to see real-time stock availability at all the local vendors on one screen, and automatically create and submit a purchase order in just a few simple clicks.

Brian’s Tire and Auto is also taking advantage of MAM’s CARFAX Integration capability, which allows employees to quickly search for a vehicle’s year, make, model and history by entering a license plate number.

“I’m impressed with the automotive industry knowledge and expertise of the MAM Software team,” said Stout. “It’s as if MAM is always one step ahead of what I need. Just when I think, ‘It would be nice if VAST could do this,’ I get a call about that exact new capability.”
